$1 from every Hosting With Heart membership supports quarterly giving to vetted charitable organizations nominated by our community.
Do I need to renew my Hosting with Heart badge each year?+
Yes. To keep your Hosting With Heart Property Badge active, you'll renew your membership annually and complete a quick Year in Review sharing how your property gave back throughout the year. This simple impact summary helps us celebrate the difference you're making, measure our collective global impact, and inspire more hosts to join the movement. Remember, every act of kindness matters. Whether your impact is big or small, your story helps grow the Hosting With Heart community.
Who is Hosting With Heart for?+
Any short-term rental host who wants their property to make a positive impact — whether you're brand new to giving back or already doing it.
What's the difference between the two pathways?+
The Guided Path is for hosts who want resources, templates, and step-by-step ideas. Already Giving Back is for hosts already running an impact program who want community and connection with like-minded hosts.
How does the property badge work?+
You'll complete a short intake form about how you're giving back. Once reviewed, you'll receive a badge kit you can display in your listing and at your property.
Where do the resources live?+
Guided Path members get access to a shared resource library with templates, checklists, and giving ideas, plus a WhatsApp group for ongoing support.
Can I get a tax deduction for donations I make through my rental?+
Many charitable donations are tax-deductible in the U.S. if made to a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, but tax rules vary by location and situation. Keep receipts and consult a tax professional for advice specific to you.
How is this connected to The Global Hospitality Collective?+
Give Back Hospitality is in partnership with The Global Hospitality Collective. The two communities complement each other and share a belief that hospitality can be a force for good.
Can I cancel my Hosting With Heart membership at any time?+
Yes. You may cancel your membership at any time. However, memberships are non-refundable, and no refunds will be issued for the current membership year. Your active membership includes your Hosting With Heart Property Badge, access to Hosting With Heart resources, and access to the Hosting With Heart WhatsApp Community. If your membership is not renewed, your badge, member benefits, and community access will expire at the end of your current membership term.
